The full name of slag is granulated blast furnace slag, which is the hot slag discharged from the blast furnace after the iron and steel plant smelts pig iron. After the slag comes out, it is directly put into water for cooling, so it is also called water slag. In our cement and building materials industry, the commonly used cementitious material is the mineral powder produced by using slag, that is, slag powder. Therefore, large grinding stations are usually built near the steel plant to grind cement clinker and mineral powder. Slag can be mixed with cement clinker for grinding to produce slag cement, or it can be ground separately and then mixed.

 

The production line flow of slag grinding mill depends on the grinding mill and process design used.  1. Crushing: large slag should be broken first, and the particle size into the grinding should be less than 3 cm;

 

2. Drying+grinding: the crushed materials are evenly fed into the mill and crushed under the force of the grinding roller. The grinding gas flows through the hot air furnace to heat, and then can dry the materials;

 

3. Grading: the crushed material is blown up by air flow into the classifier, and the qualified material passes through smoothly, and the unqualified material continues to fall back and grind.

 

4. Collection: the sorted qualified materials enter the pulse dust collector to realize the separation of material and gas. The collected materials are sent to the next process through the discharge valve. Most of the air flow is involved in the next cycle, and the excess air flow is discharged to the atmosphere;

 

5. Conveying: the discharge valve under the pulse dust collector can be directly loaded and transported to the destination by the bulk machine, or sent to the finished product warehouse for storage by the conveying mechanism.
